Easy train ticket purchase

I bought a One-Way ticket to Glasgow. It was quick. The price was good. E-ticket worked fine on my phone. No problems encountered.

Good for Eurostar, some fees

I booked Eurostar Tickets for a London to Paris trip. The platform itself is super intuitive for searching international routes, which was a big plus. The e-tickets popped right into my app after buying. My main gripe is the booking fee; it's not huge, but it's there. Wish they'd waive it for higher-value tickets or something. Still, made planning the trip way easier than dealing with individual country train sites.

Great value with Railcard

This was my first time using Trainline, and I was really focused on getting the best deal. I already had a 16-25 Railcard, and applying it was super easy during the search. I bought a Flexi Season Ticket for commuting, and the discount really made a difference, saving me about a third off the regular price. I compared it to buying at the station, and this was definitely cheaper. The whole process felt worth it, and I felt I got good value for my money. I'll certainly check here again for future trips.

Best way to book UK trains!

I absolutely had to get tickets for a last-minute trip, and I booked Standard Class Train Tickets from Leeds to London. The app was incredibly fast to use, and I found exactly what I needed in minutes. It was so much quicker than trying to navigate other sites. I even managed to find a Split Ticket option directly in the search results which saved me a bit of money! The e-ticket arrived instantly, and traveling was a breeze. I'm telling everyone about how simple and efficient it was!

Good for tickets, app could improve

I booked a couple of Advance Train Tickets from London to Manchester for a trip last month. The booking process was straightforward on the website, and I found a decent price by booking ahead. The e-tickets loaded into the app without issues, which was convenient for travel. Delivery was instant since it's digital, so no complaints there. However, the app itself felt a little clunky at times; specifically, the live departure boards sometimes lagged, and I had to refresh a few times. Overall, good value for the price paid, but the app could use some minor optimizations.

Used for Digital Railcard and tickets

I recently bought a 16-25 Railcard through Trainline, then used it to get discounted UK train tickets. The process for getting the digital railcard was simpler than I expected; it was sent to my email pretty quickly after purchase. Applying it to ticket searches was smooth too, the discounts showed up automatically. I had a quick question about a refund policy for one of the tickets later on, and their customer service chat was responsive within about 10 minutes, which was helpful. The app also has live departure boards which saved me a few times at busy stations. Overall, a solid experience getting everything set up for my travel.

Easy to grab tickets

Needed to get some UK Advance Train Tickets for a trip last month. Used the Trainline app and it was pretty straightforward. Found my route, picked my times, and boom, tickets were on my phone. No fuss at all, which is exactly what I like when I'm planning something. Got a decent price too.

Consistent service for Eurostar

I've used Trainline several times for European travel now. This last time I booked Eurostar Tickets to Paris. Just like before, the process was reliable – finding times was easy, and the prices were clearly displayed. I applied my digital railcard without any hitches, which is always a plus. Compared to my previous bookings, nothing stood out as different, which is a good thing for consistency. I keep coming back because I know what to expect, and they usually have competitive prices for international routes. The digital tickets were in my email within minutes.

Hey guys, checking out Trainline for some long-distance UK tickets. Are these 'advance' tickets actually legit savings or is it like, a few quid off? And like, if I need to change my plans, am I totally screwed?

K Katie Robinson 3 weeks ago
Yeah, advance tickets are where the real savings are. I've gotten tickets for like half the price of walk-up fares by booking a few weeks out. Just make sure your dates are pretty firm.

They're definitely cheaper, especially if you book early a lot. Changing them can be a pain though. Usually, you can only change to a different time on the same day for a fee, or if the train is cancelled you get more flexibility.

Does Trainline have a student discount? Trying to figure out the best way to save on my intercity trips.

W William Campbell 1 month ago
They don't really do a specific 'student discount' code afaik. What most students use is the 16-25 Railcard, which pretty much gives you 1/3 off almost all fares. You can buy that digital one right through Trainline.

Nah, just get a railcard. That's the real student discount. I got mine last year and it paid for itself in like two trips.

Hey guys, thinking of booking some Eurostar tickets through Trainline for a trip to Paris next month. Is it generally cheaper to buy this way instead of direct from Eurostar?

B Brandon Lewis 1 week ago
Yeah, I've used them for Eurostar before. Sometimes they have deals, but often it's about the same price. Main thing is it's super convenient to have all your tickets in one place if you're doing other train travel.

S Steven Williams 1 week ago
Not always cheaper, but definitely more options for combining tickets if you're going further than just Paris. The app is pretty smooth too.

Anyone used one of those digital railcards with Trainline? I'm thinking of getting a 16-25, but not sure how smoothly it integrates or if I'll have issues on the train with it.

W William Martin 2 weeks ago
Super easy! You just add it to your profile in the app once you buy it and it automatically applies the discount to your searches. No fumbling for a physical card.

I got a digital Senior Railcard last year and it worked perfectly. Just show the QR code on your phone if a conductor asks. Never had any hassle.
